What kind of sites do you host?
VirtualPetHosting, hereafter referred to as VPH, will host sites with Virtual Domain names (i.e.http://www.yoursite.com), as long as you are the owner of the website. Basically, if you are Administrative Contact and Registrant, then you are the owner of the site. You will also have access to your site, 24/7, to make whatever changes and upgrades that you would like. VPH will also host those sites that do not have their own Virtual Domain (i.e. http://yoursite.virtualpethosting) for free!  VPN specializes in pet/animal-related website hosting, but also hosts other personal and business websites not related to the pet industry.

What kind of sites don't you host?
VPH servers may be used for lawful purposes only. Transmission, storage, or distribution of any information, data, or material in violation of any applicable law or regulation is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: copyrighted material; trademarks; trade secrets or other intellectual property rights used without proper authorization; material that is obscene, defamatory, constitutes an illegal threat, or violates export control laws. Examples of unacceptable content or links include: pirated software, hacker programs or archives, Warez sites, MP3, and IRC bots.  Adult-oriented sites are not allowed. This includes sites that are associated with bestiality or child pornography, sites which promote hate against any group, sites of such nature will be removed immediately and you will not be refunded. This is also true for sites that promote any illegal activity or content that may be damaging to our servers or any other server on the Internet, or provide links to such sites.

Why should I host my pet-related website with VPN?
VPN understands how important your pets are to you, and how important a properly hosted website can be to your pet-related business.  I know this personally, as I am deeply involved in the healthy pet field.  My own websites are PreciousPets.org and BARFingBoxers by Bree.  This is one of the reasons VPN offers such fantastic hosting packages, which are feature-rich, and priced under the competition!  Free package offers limited features.

How do I know which package is right for me?
Contact me, and I'll match you to the right package.  Make sure you include the type of site you want/have and any other information that will be helpful.

What kind of support do you offer your customers?
As a VPN customer, you can expect prompt and courteous customer service, either via e-mail or live customer service.  A support forum and ticket support system are in the works.  Each paid account will receive a complete and detailed cPanel PDF manual, after account has been activated.  Your manual will detailed instructions on how to use your VPH Control Panel.

Technical support is automatic on any maintenance and upload work done by VP. If you maintain your own site, we will help with whatever we can, but a charge may be made for diagnosing and/or correcting errors you have made in any way. VPH cannot be responsible for down time of your website due to problems created while you are designing or maintaining your own site.  Our servers maintain a 99.9% uptime history.

How long can I expect to wait to have my account created?
Under normal conditions, accounts are created and ready to use in 2 to 4 hours after account has been paid for.  Free accounts will be activated within 2 to 4 hours, as well.

Can I upgrade my free account to a paid account?
Yes, you can upgrade your package at anytime by contacting me and letting me know which package you'd like to upgrade to.  If you do not have your own domain, I highly recommend purchasing your own domain at Network Solutions.  VPH provides support to those customers who register their domain with Network Solutions and who transfer their domains over to Network Solutions.  VPH does not provide support for any other registrar.

What if I require more space than any of the present packages offer?

Not a problem...just contact me, and we'll work out a package to suit your needs!

I already own a domain, and it is hosted with another company. How do I transfer my website to VirtualPetHosting?
Select and open up your new VPH account.  You'll need to contact your registrar to have the DNS changed to:

ns1.virtualpethosting.com
ns2.virtualpethosting.com

Once the DNS has been changed with your registrar, your site should be propagated in 24 to 48 hours. 

How do I pay for my hosting with VPN?
All payments are handled automatically via PayPal.  If you do not have a PayPal account, then this is the best time to open one up. All new PayPal accounts give you $5.00, which can be used towards your first-month's hosting with VPN.

Can VPN help me design my website?

At this time, the answer is no.  We are presently accepting bids from web design companies who will be able to provide this type of service, at the most economical price, to our customers.  If you are a web designer or web design company, please contact us with your bid.
